Vexlum’s disruptive semiconductor laser platform (vertical-external-cavity surface-emitting laser, VECSEL) enables new research and industrial-level scaling of quantum technology systems.

Our offering

We offer single-frequency laser systems with wavelengths on demand and with economic metrics adequate for industrial scaling of quantum computers and ultra-high precision optical atomic clocks, enabling unmatched performance in terms of system size, laser power, and cost. Our optically pumped semiconductor lasers offer watt-level output power, low noise, narrow linewidth, diffraction limited beam, and broad wavelength coverage (350-2150 nm) in a compact package.

About Vexlum Oy

Vexlum is a spin-off from the Tampere University established in 2017 following the successful completion of a Business Finland-funded “R2B” program. The founding team has been a leading research group in the area of VECSEL technology and has strong roots in semiconductor technology, laser physics and -engineering, and academic-driven entrepreneurship. The fast growth of the company has been enabled by the fast market validation and unique selling points of VECSEL products in quantum technology applications.
