VEXLUM manufactures high-power laser systems based on vertical-external-cavity surface-emitting laser (VECSEL) technology. Our operations are based on in-house semiconductor fabrication and advanced laser system engineering. We address the need of wavelength versatile practical lasers systems required e.g. for quantum technology and dermatology.

Our offering
We offer single-frequency VECSEL systems with watt-level output power, low noise, narrow linewidth, diffraction limited beam, broad wavelength coverage (350-2150 nm) and a compact architecture. The simple laser geometry of intracavity frequency doubled VECSELs offers unparalleled size and cost benefits for high power visible emission.
About Vexlum Oy
Vexlum is a spin-off from the Tampere University established in 2017 following the successful completion of a Business Finland-funded “R2B” program. The founding team has been a leading research group in the area of VECSEL technology and has strong roots in semiconductor technology, laser physics and engineering, and academic-driven entrepreneurship. The company has adopted a bootstrapping development approach benefiting from a strong market traction. This has been enabled by a fast market validation and unique selling points of VECSEL products in quantum technology applications.
