The European Union has set an ambitious target of producing 10 million tons of clean hydrogen annually by 2030. Finland is positioning itself as a leader in clean hydrogen, aiming to contribute 10% of the EU’s capacity by 2030. Offering the right mix of required resources and an increasing number of end-use applications, the country is primed for hydrogen investment and growth.
The economic potential of Finland’s hydrogen economy is immense, with the sector projected to contribute up to EUR 34 billion annually to the national GDP by 2035, and up to EUR 69 billion by 2045. This growth could create over 60,000 jobs in technology development, infrastructure, and production.
Around 100 companies and research organizations have formed Hydrogen Cluster Finland to collaborate and come together. Supported by Business Finland’s Hydrogen & Batteries program, these collaborations aim to accelerate Finland’s decarbonization, foster new innovations, and support the country’s leadership in the hydrogen economy.
The H2 Summit & Expo is your opportunity to engage with the key players in the Finnish hydrogen ecosystem and explore business opportunities in Finland – Business Finland and Invest in Finland teams will be at the event to guide you to the hydrogen economy of Finland
